1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Farstep (the “App”), published by Adelyons Software LLC, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License Grant

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from.

3. The Service

Farstep presents interpretive 3D reconstructions of real places for education and enjoyment. Scenes are built from open elevation data and published measurements; they are not survey-grade models, and a “Then” view is a labelled reconstruction, not a claim about exactly how a site looked. Farstep is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any site, museum, park authority or government.

4. Purchases

Stonehenge is free. Other sites are unlocked by one-time purchases (“site packs”) or a bundle of all current sites, billed by the App Store or Google Play at your store’s local price. Purchases are tied to your store account and can be restored with Restore purchases. Refunds are handled by the store under its policies.

On the web. On farstep.adelyons.com the same packs and bundle are sold as one-time purchases through Stripe at the prices shown at checkout. A web purchase unlocks in the browser you bought it in and gives you an unlock code for your other browsers. Web refunds: write to dev@adelyons.com; a refunded purchase stops unlocking.

Accounts. An account is optional. If you sign in with Google or Apple, what that account owns (store purchases from the installs you sign in on, web purchases you claim, a Classroom licence) unlocks in the app and on the web wherever you sign in with the same account. Store purchases still belong to your store account.

Classroom licence. Teachers can buy a yearly Classroom licence, an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks every site and the Classroom tour and provides a class code for up to 35 student devices. It starts with a free trial where your store offers one; unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or a year ends, it renews automatically at your store’s price for another year. Manage or cancel it in your store account’s subscription settings. Class codes are for devices used by your own class or school; when the licence ends, those devices relock.

Classroom licence on the web. On farstep.adelyons.com the Classroom licence is sold to a signed-in account as a yearly subscription through Stripe, at the price shown at checkout (no free trial on the web). It renews automatically each year until you cancel. Cancel any time from your class page (Manage billing opens Stripe’s billing page); the licence then runs to the end of the year already paid, and no partial refunds are given except where the law requires. It gives the same access as the store licence wherever you sign in with that account, and the class page on the web shows its class code.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App except as permitted by law, not to extract its models or content for redistribution, and not to use the App where doing so would be unlawful.

6. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Historical and scientific information is provided for general education and may be incomplete or revised by new research.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adelyons Software LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these Terms. Sections 6, 7 and 9 survive termination.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
