How a walk works

Free roam

Walk with a thumb stick or the keyboard and drag to look. Climb the mountain face, stand on the ledge.

Guided tour

A narrator reads each stop in your language and glides you between them.

Then

See Stonehenge with every lintel and Avebury before its stones were broken up. Every reconstruction is labelled.

Known or theorised

Every card says whether a fact is known, theorised or folklore.

Meta Quest and VR headsets

Walk it in VR

Every place walks in virtual reality in the browser of a Meta Quest or another WebXR headset. Nothing to install: the same pages, the same packs, the same account.

  1. Open farstep.adelyons.comIn the headset's browser. Stonehenge is free; a pack you own unlocks when you sign in.
  2. Start a walkPick a place, start the 3D walk, then choose View in VR.
