Trolltunga in 3D
The Troll's Tongue · 700 m above the lake
Above Ringedalsvatnet, near Odda, Vestland, Norway
Trolltunga, the Troll's Tongue, is a slab of bedrock about 10 m long sticking straight out over a 700 m drop to the lake Ringedalsvatnet. Geologists think water froze in joints along the cliff edge as the last ice sheet retreated, prising away the rock around it. This walk lets you step out onto it.
